Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an opening for a Site Manager at our new facility in Big Piney, Wyoming. This facility is a joint venture between Air Products and Matheson TriGas.
The facility employs 6-8 operators and 2 mechanics. The Big Piney facility is a helium liquefier supplying LHE globally. Expected commissioning and startup is scheduled to begin late March 2015 but is reliant on feed gas supplier delivering product. Finally this facility is designed and has the opportunity to expand as additional feed gas becomes available.
The candidate is responsible and accountable for maintaining the safety and environmental standards, the safety and well being of the employees, production. The candidate is responsible and accountable for reliability, maximizing efficiency and productivity results, labor costs and specific site cost centers. Additionally the manager is responsible for the maintenance, project work, reliability, HR issues, leadership, manpower resources, cost control and asset management through relationships and alignment with horizontally integrated functional support organizations. The position reports to the GO Global Manager Helium Operations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABLITIES:
o Administer EH&S standards to ensure the protection of personnel, the community, and the environment.
o Direct and monitor plant production to efficiently meet customer requirements.
o Provide leadership to effectively identify and promulgate global Helium plant best practices and work processes.
o Identify, analyze, and resolve personnel problems to ensure an effective, involved, and motivated work force.
o Ensure excellence in performance and continuity of management through the effective selection, development, and motivation of a team of employees organized to optimize individual and group capabilities.
o Maintain superior community relations.
o Lead asset management efforts to drive continuous improvement in business profitability.
o Maintain outstanding customer relations through superior reliability and highly effective communications with customers.
Qualifications:
Candidates for this position will be evaluated on the basis of the following:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

years of industrial experience including supervision
Experience in plant operations, and distribution.
A successful track record in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality
Demonstrated managerial leadership and interpersonal skills
A strong commitment to employee involvement, team building and diversity
Effective communications skills
Ability to interface with customer representatives and community leaders
A demonstrated commitment to asset management programs
Committed to our Continuous Improvement initiative
Helium operations experience preferred but not required.
